Actually it seemed as though there would never be a moment this week when we could stop thinking about what an absolutely wonderful Anniversary Sunday that we enjoyed this past week.  I sincerely believe that it was without a doubt the greatest single day in the history of the church.  We want to extend our deepest appreciation to Pastor and Sister Denney who so enthusiastically prepared to not only a totally exciting day as we look to the future, but with just as much zeal, we were reminded of the heritage for which we are most thankful.

In Pastor Denney’s own words, “due to a man with a vision and a burden for the lost, Harrison Hills Church was born.”  We were a part of that vision and burden in the greatly anointed message on Sunday morning by Pastor James Stark (grandson of the founding Pastor).  The sanctuary was filled to capacity in both the morning and the evening service, which concluded after the very inspiring message by Bishop Arless Glass of Pasadena, TX with the passing of the mantle.

Both Pastor and Sister Denney were given mantles in a portion of the service that none of us will soon forget.  I can only say that it was indeed an answer to our prayers.  The picture of the Denney Family that had been the picture that had gone with me to prayer for three years was projected so that everyone could rejoice with the people of Harrison Hills Church for glorious answered prayer.

We were more than thankful to welcome to Anniversary Sunday, Frank and Judy Simmons, Pam Denney’s parents, Kenneth and Carolyn Denney, Pastor Denney’s parents as well as Louise Grimes and Kat Stephens, Pastor Denney’s grandmother and cousin.  I sincerely believe that we were all greatly moved by the visitation of the Holy Spirit in the services of the day.  It was indeed a day which we can and hopefully never will forget.  Thank you so much for everything that was done for us, we are filled with thanks to Jesus Christ and for you all.  It continues to be a great joy to be a part of the Harrison Hills Church Family.
